Never take your customer relationships for granted. It’s important that you don’t simply forget about your customers once the sales are completed. Your shoppers love it when you make them feel valued. Sending follow-up emails to ensure that your customers are happy with their purchases is great way to establish strong connections with your brand’s supporters. Simple thank you messages go a long way as well.

A rewards program is a great way to keep customers coming back. It’s also an excellent show of appreciation for those who recommend your store to others. By creating a loyalty and/or referral program, you both show your gratitude and offer special discounts to the customers who are most likely to brag about your business.
“If it makes sense for your business, offer a customer loyalty program with rewards for your customers,” suggests Bernazzani, “If your business follows a recurring revenue structure, reward customers when they hit certain benchmarks such as offering a discount once they’ve been a customer for a certain amount of time.”
